The golf course at Falkirk Golf Club first opened for play in 1922. The course was designed by Hal C. Purdy.
The Falkirk Golf Club golf course plays to 5,644 yards. Par for the course is 71. The course rating is 67.7 and the slope rating is 116. Falkirk is a good challenge with narrow fairways and constantly changing elevations.
The old Central Valley Golf Club name was gone as soon as local developer Wayne Corts and Rockland businessman Barry Fixler took over in 2009. Falkirk is the name of the adjacent estate, and a small town in Scotland, the home of golf.
"It's a pretty golf course as it is, but it needed some tender loving care that had been missing over the last couple of years," said Ken Vrana, Falkirk general manager. "It was kept up, but not enhanced."
Enhancement hardly covers the magnitude of improvements in the planning. Even at 5,600 yards, Falkirk already is challenging with its undulating greens, tight fairways, uneven lies and changes in elevation. Plans are to extend it to championship length to around 7,000 yards, and the infrastructure is being upgraded now to accomodate future growth.

Many improvements since change in ownership. Clubhouse looks great, course still needs upgrades but moving in good direction. Great value for the money. played golf in 3 hours.

This course is a mountain cow pasture, to say the least. With it's attachmanet to the nearby Wedding catering, you would think that the owners would bring someone in with a little bit of knowledge on running a golf course. It needs a complete overhaul to be play worthy. As was the case when it was the Central Valley Golf Course, IT STILL STINKS!

The course changed ownership last year but compared to the courses on Rte 23 in Sussex County and other nearby courses, I wouldn't play this course unless it was my last option.

They are in the process of expanding. Looking forward to the additions. Especially additional tee boxes

Not worth the price of gas to get there. When you pay greens fees you would think would be putting on some what of a green. Not the case at Central Valley.

Tee boxes are in terrible shape. The greens are a little better. The course is in a mountain so be prepared for many elevated tee boxes and greens. The pace of play was terrible. Took over 5 hours to play 18 holes.
